CTD Sindh Arrests Three ‘Fitna-al-Hindustan’ Operatives in Jamshoro

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh claimed to have foiled a major terror bid by arresting three operatives of Fitna-al-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation on the Bholaari Road in Jamshoro. The suspects were allegedly planning attacks on the occasion of Defence Day, September 6.

According to a CTD Sindh spokesperson, the detained operatives have been identified as Hanif Bhatt, Mashooq Rind, and Sher Ali. Security personnel seized hand grenades, explosive material, prohibited weapons, and ammunition from their possession during the operation.

The spokesperson revealed that the arrested men were also wanted in connection with previous incidents of firing at cargo trailers travelling from Sindh to Punjab. Among the suspects, Hanif Bhatt was listed as one of the most wanted by CTD Hyderabad in a separate terrorism case.

The statement further disclosed that the network of Fitna-al-Hindustan was being financed through Hallar Chang, who allegedly played a central role in providing funds for their operations.

Officials said the timely action averted a potential large-scale attack on a day of national significance. “These arrests highlight the vigilance and effectiveness of CTD Sindh in ensuring the safety of the province,” the spokesperson remarked.

The arrested operatives have been moved to an undisclosed location for further interrogation, while efforts are underway to apprehend their facilitators and uncover wider links of the financing network.
