CTD Operation in Barkhan Neutralizes Six Terrorists

In a precise intelligence-based operation conducted in Barkhan, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) successfully neutralized six terrorists involved in destructive and destabilizing activities. The operation culminated in an exchange of gunfire, during which the assailants were killed.

According to a CTD spokesperson, the deceased terrorists were actively engaged in carrying out sabotage and other unlawful operations aimed at undermining law and order in the region. Security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons and explosives from their possession, preventing potential attacks and securing public safety.

“The operation reflects our unwavering commitment to proactively countering terrorist threats and dismantling networks that seek to destabilize communities,” the spokesperson stated. “Intelligence-driven operations remain central to safeguarding citizens and ensuring regional security.”

Authorities emphasized that ongoing investigations are aimed at identifying any broader networks connected to the neutralized terrorists and preventing future threats. The CTD continues to work closely with local law enforcement agencies to maintain vigilance and respond rapidly to any indications of militant activity.

This successful operation underscores the dedication and effectiveness of Pakistan’s counterterrorism forces in confronting extremist elements and protecting the public from violent acts.
