Crackdown in Peshawar: 35 Illegal Afghan Nationals Deported, 233 Suspects Held in Police Operations

The police authorities in Peshawar have successfully concluded a series of comprehensive “Search and Strike” operations aimed at enhancing public safety, curbing criminal activity, and ensuring strict compliance with immigration and security regulations.

Over the course of one week, law enforcement agencies carried out 41 targeted operations across multiple areas of the city. As a result of these coordinated actions, 35 Afghan nationals found to be residing illegally were taken into custody and subsequently deported in accordance with applicable laws and immigration procedures.

In addition to immigration enforcement measures, the operations led to the detention of 233 suspicious individuals. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those found to be involved in unlawful activities, following thorough verification and screening processes.

Police authorities further reported the registration of 148 criminal cases against various criminal elements during the course of these operations. The actions underscore the department’s proactive approach to dismantling criminal networks and preventing unlawful activities that threaten public order.

During the operations, illegal weapons were also recovered from different locations. The confiscation of unauthorized arms reflects ongoing efforts to reduce the circulation of illicit firearms and prevent their potential use in criminal activities.

Officials emphasized that these Search and Strike operations form part of a broader security strategy designed to maintain law and order, deter criminal behavior, and ensure the safety of citizens. The police reiterated their commitment to conducting intelligence-driven operations and sustained monitoring across sensitive areas of the city.

Authorities confirmed that similar operations will continue in the coming weeks to further strengthen security measures and uphold the rule of law.
