In a determined push to restore law and order across sensitive regions, police in Lakki Marwat launched a comprehensive search and strike operation in the jurisdiction of Shaheed Khil Police Station. Acting on the directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu, Sajjad Khan, and following the strategic orders of District Police Officer (DPO) Lakki Marwat, Muhammad Jawad Ishaq, the operation targeted known criminal hideouts across various villages.

The coordinated effort was supervised by DSP Ghazni Khel Circle, Haider Ali Khan, and led by SHO Shaheed Khil, Shakeel Khan, with support from SHO Pezu, Muzaffar Khan, the Elite Force, the Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU), and other police personnel. The teams combed through areas including Azar Khel, Chawar Khel, Sarga Khero Khel, and Jang Khel, dismantling drug dens and flushing out criminal elements as part of an intensified crackdown against drug traffickers and lawbreakers.

According to police sources, several hideouts used by narcotics dealers, labeled by the RPO as “merchants of death”, were razed. The operation aimed not just to apprehend criminals, but to eliminate the infrastructure that supports the drug trade. “These people are a cancer in society, and we will treat them with an iron hand,” RPO Sajjad Khan said, warning that such operations would continue with full force. He reiterated that drug dealers deserve no leniency and vowed to carry out more actions across the district to cleanse the area and reinforce public safety.

Meanwhile, in a parallel operation conducted in the tribal districts of Orakzai and Hangu, law enforcement agencies executed a successful intelligence-based offensive against terrorists affiliated with banned organisations. The crackdown, which took place in areas such as Naryab Dam, Chhapri Naryab, and Shanawari, all falling under the jurisdiction of Doaba Police Station, led to the seizure of a significant cache of illegal weapons and explosives.

Elite units, including Al-Barq Commandos, the Elite Force, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and other special teams, participated in the raids. A substantial stockpile of weapons was recovered, including machine guns, Kalashnikov, hand grenades, and various types of ammunition and explosive materials. Security officials hailed the operation as a crucial success in the ongoing war against terrorism, warning that further such actions will continue to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the region.

Together, these operations reflect a broader and more aggressive security strategy being deployed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s volatile belt, one that offers zero tolerance to criminals, narcotics dealers, and militants alike.
