Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Frontier Constabulary Headquarters in Peshawar, declaring that such cowardly acts cannot weaken the resolve of the people or the security forces fighting terrorism.
“Terrorists have no religion. These cowardly attacks cannot dampen our courage,” the chief minister said in a statement issued after the incident. He sought an immediate report from the Inspector General of Police and directed that the injured personnel be provided the best and prompt medical treatment.
Afridi praised the bravery of the security personnel who “averted a far greater tragedy through their courage and swift response,” calling the incident “deeply tragic and utterly condemnable.”
Paying tribute to the fallen personnel, the chief minister said the martyrs were the pride of the nation and their sacrifices would never be forgotten. “The blood of our martyrs will not go in vain. All those involved in this attack will be brought to justice,” he asserted.
Afridi reaffirmed that the fight against terrorism would continue with stronger determination. He said all resources would be utilised for the restoration of peace and the complete elimination of terrorism in the province. The provincial government, he added, stands firmly with the police and all law-enforcement agencies.
The chief minister prayed for the souls of the martyred personnel and for patience and strength for their families.
