Security forces launched a precision clearance and kill/capture operation in Tank district today to avenge the martyrdom of three Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers. The operation, which is still ongoing, targets suspected Khawarij hideouts across multiple areas, including surrounding ‘wandas’ (villages).
During a decisive engagement, hit teams made direct contact with Khawarij. In the ensuing firefight, two Khawarij, one identified as Muhammad Ali, directly involved in the killing of the martyred FC personnel, were neutralized on the spot. Their bodies were recovered from the site.
Critically, FAK Commander Shahzeb, a high-value Khariji figure, was seriously injured during the encounter. But instead of holding his ground, he abandoned his position, his rifle, and his wounded and slain comrades, fleeing the battlefield in disgrace. His bullet-damaged M4 rifle was recovered along a blood trail, confirming his cowardly escape under pressure.
In total, three to four Khawarij were injured in the contact. Among the weapons and equipment recovered from the site were two M4 rifles (one each from Shahzeb and the slain Muhammad Ali), five magazines, an SMG, an SKS Russian rifle, a combat knife, and over 280 rounds of ammunition. Infrared thermal sights, a Motorola communication set, four motorcycles, mobile phones, Cheetah shoes, and a power bank were also seized.
Security forces continue the pursuit of Shahzeb and other fleeing khawarij. The operation remains in full momentum, with the clear aim to eliminate or capture all remaining Khawarij responsible for attacks on Pakistani security forces.
Officials say this campaign sends an unmistakable message: those who target the defenders of Pakistan will be hunted down, and no act of betrayal or flight will save the Khawarij from justice.
