Countering PTI’s Anti-State Propaganda: Truth vs Political Vendetta

Reality Check: National Security Is Not a Political Tool

Imran Khan and his party; once responsible for state affairs; are now openly contradicting their own security briefings and policy stances, merely to discredit Pakistan’s institutions. This shift isn’t driven by truth, but by political vengeance against Field Marshal Hafiz Syed Asim Munir and the military leadership. PTI Acknowledged Afghan Threats in Power, Now Calls It “False Flag”?

When PTI was in power, its own National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf told a parliamentary committee that Afghan soil was being used for attacks against Pakistan, even under the Taliban interim government. PTI’s official social media pages echoed this view.

So the critical question is:

If cross-border terrorism from Afghanistan was a reality in PTI’s time, how is it now a “false flag operation”?

The answer lies not in facts, but in Imran Khan’s personal grudge against the military after losing power and public credibility post-May 9.

🇵🇰 2. May 9 Wasn’t “Staged,” It Was an Attack on Pakistan Itself

Imran Khan and PTI are now trying to rewrite history by falsely labelling May 9, 2023 as a “false flag” event.

Let’s be clear:

May 9 was a national tragedy, when PTI supporters attacked military installations, GHQ, Corps Commander’s House, and even the sacred memorials of our martyrs.

To call that a “false flag” is an insult to the nation, to the martyrs, and to the grieving families whose sons laid down their lives for this country

3. PTI Itself Initiated Crackdown on Illegal Afghans, Why Object Now?

PTI is now attacking the state for deporting illegal Afghan nationals. Yet:

The KP government under PTI itself demanded a crackdown on illegally residing Afghans 10 years ago.

During Imran Khan’s own tenure, actions against illegal immigrants were initiated.

The current policy is not against legal Afghan refugees, but targets illegal aliens, many of whom have been involved in terror activities.

PTI’s latest propaganda is not based on facts, but an effort to sow confusion and discredit security efforts for petty political gain.

4. Cross-Border Terrorism is a Documented Reality, Not a Narrative

PTI and its digital brigade may want to play politics, but the world sees the terror threat from Afghanistan for what it is UN reports confirm the presence of over 20 terrorist groups inside Afghanistan, Russia, China, Iran, and the US; all have acknowledged the threat emanating from Afghan soil.

In multiple attacks inside Pakistan, including Bannu FC Camp and Sambaza, dead bodies of Afghan nationals, including TTP terrorists, have been recovered.

Just recently:

In Sambaza (August 2025), a TTP formation was eliminated, most of them Afghan nationals.

In Bannu, 3 out of 5 attackers were Afghans, confirmed by their own documents and DNA.

Taliban authorities themselves only claimed the bodies weeks later, confirming their nationality.

PTI’s propaganda machine conveniently ignores this global consensus, choosing instead to attack their own country’s efforts against terrorism.

5. Afghan Soil Sheltering TTP Backed by Footage and Intelligence

Multiple videos have surfaced showing TTP commanders roaming freely in Afghan provinces.

Pakistan has shared this evidence with the interim Afghan authorities as well as international stakeholders.

Yet, PTI’s digital accounts parrot the TTP narrative instead of standing with PakistanFinal Word: PTI’s Grudge Must Not Undermine Pakistan’s Security

PTI’s reckless propaganda is not just political opportunism; it is irresponsible, anti-national, and dangerous. A party that once led the country is now:

Undermining Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terror,

Spreading confusion about cross-border threats,

And enabling hostile elements by delegitimizing the state’s response.

The Pakistani people; especially those in KP, Balochistan, and border regions, know the truth: Terrorism is real, and it must be fought with unity, not division.
