Tilla: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), visited the Tilla Field Firing Ranges on Wednesday to observe Exercise Hammer Strike—a high-intensity field training exercise carried out by the Pakistan Army’s elite Mangla Strike Corps.

The exercise aimed to validate the army’s combat preparedness, operational integration, and synergy across forces under near-battlefield conditions. Featuring multi-role fighter jets, combat aviation, precision artillery, and cutting-edge field engineering, the exercise simulated conventional warfare scenarios with an emphasis on modern combat technologies.

General Munir was received by the Corps Commander and witnessed the display of synchronised offensive maneuvers that highlighted the tactical excellence, agility, and war-fighting capability of participating troops. The drill also underscored the army’s growing adoption of niche and emerging technologies to enhance both kinetic and non-kinetic capabilities.

Praising the troops for their high morale and operational prowess, the COAS reaffirmed Pakistan Army’s resolve to defend the nation at any cost. “Let there be no ambiguity: any military misadventure by India will be met with a swift, resolute, and notch-up response,” he stated, emphasising Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace without compromising on national security.

Senior military leaders, formation commanders, and dignitaries from across the services were present to witness the large-scale exercise, which reaffirms the army’s continuous evolution through training, doctrine, and technological modernisation.
