COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir Engages U.S Experts, Reaffirms Pakistan’s Peace Role: ISPR

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, during his official visit to the United States, held a high-level and wide-ranging interaction with senior scholars, policy experts, analysts, and representatives of leading international media outlets in Washington D.C., reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace, regional stability, and constructive global engagement. The Army Chief’s meeting with prominent U.S. think tanks and strategic affairs institutions provided a critical platform to articulate Pakistan’s principled position on key regional and international issues, while also offering a comprehensive view of its evolving strategic posture.

In his remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering resolve in promoting a rules-based international order and regional peace. He discussed in detail Pakistan’s counterterrorism operations, including Maarka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanu Marsoos, highlighting the immense sacrifices made by the country in the fight against terrorism and exposing the role of hostile regional actors who sponsor and weaponize terrorism as a means of hybrid warfare.
