A militant was killed in a clash between the police and fighters from a banned organisation in Kohat. According to Regional Police Officer (RPO) Abbas Majid, the incident occurred in the vicinity of Regi Shino Khel, a rural area near Kohat, when militants opened fire on a police party. In the ensuing exchange of fire, one militant was killed.
RPO Majid further confirmed that gunfire between the police and militants was still ongoing. He added that a heavy contingent of police and security forces had arrived at the scene and initiated a search operation to apprehend any remaining militants.
