The 273rd Corps Commanders Conference, chaired by the Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces, reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to deal decisively with all terrorists, their facilitators, and supporters operating under foreign patronage.

The forum began with Fateha for the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who lost their lives in recent terrorist incidents. Participants paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives defending the country and countering terrorism.

The Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces commended the armed forces’ courage, professionalism, and sacrifices, highlighting their dedicated efforts in intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations conducted nationwide in recent months.

Addressing the forum, the leadership said that through joint efforts of the government, armed forces, and the steadfast support of the Pakistani people, the country is moving steadily toward stability, broader opportunities, and national dignity.

The conference reviewed internal and external security situations, emphasising emerging threats and operational preparedness. Participants reiterated that all terrorists, including those operating under Indian support, and their facilitators will be confronted decisively without concessions.

The forum rejected any nexus between terrorism, crime, and political interests, stressing that no individual or group, regardless of political affiliation, will be allowed to undermine national unity, security, or stability. It was also emphasised that no attempt to create divisions between the armed forces and the public will be tolerated.

The conference praised Balochistan government initiatives aimed at empowering local communities and addressing factors contributing to terrorism through governance and social cohesion. Similar people-focused measures were recommended for other regions under the National Action Plan to ensure sustainable peace.

The forum reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and reiterated the principled stance on Palestine, calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, unhindered humanitarian access, and a credible path toward a Palestinian state.

In concluding remarks, commanders were instructed to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, physical fitness, innovation, and professional excellence on the battlefield.

The leadership expressed full confidence in the armed forces’ capability to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to effectively counter threats across the full spectrum, from conventional and sub-conventional to hybrid and asymmetric challenges.
