On 10 November 2025, in a heinous and cowardly terrorist act, khawarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij attacked Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan District.
The assailants attempted to breach the perimeter security; however, their nefarious designs were swiftly foiled by the vigilant and resolute response of own troops. In their desperation, the attackers rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the main gate, resulting in its collapse and damage to adjacent infrastructure.
Displaying unwavering courage and professional excellence, own troops engaged the intruders with precision, eliminating two khawarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij. However, three khawarij managed to enter the college premises and have been cornered in the administrative block.
These khawarij, acting under the Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij, have once again tried to repeat the barbaric act of terrorism carried out by them in the Army Public School Peshawar in 2014. The attack was aimed at instilling fear among the young generation of erstwhile tribal areas, who are acquiring quality education at their doorstep to excel in life and achieve a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Khawarij hiding inside the college premises are in contact with their masters and handlers in Afghanistan, receiving instructions. ISPR said this blatant act of barbarism, orchestrated from Afghan soil, is in contrast to assertions made by the Afghan Taliban regime claiming the non-presence of such terrorist groups. Pakistan reserves the right to respond against terrorists and their leadership present in Afghanistan.
Clearance operations are underway to eliminate the remaining India-backed khawarij. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue a relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the national vision “Azm e Istehkam”, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, to eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
