Three personnel of the Balochistan Constabulary were martyred and 16 others injured according to Balochistan government when a remote-controlled bomb exploded near their vehicle on Dasht Road in Mastung district on Tuesday.
According to Balochistan government the injured are shifted to the local hospitals where their treatment has been started.
According to police officials, the explosion took place near Khand Mehsuri area and was carried out using an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a motorcycle. The targeted personnel were returning from duty when the blast occurred.
Security forces swiftly reached the site of the incident and cordoned off the area. The deceased and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
Investigations are underway to ascertain the perpetrators and motive behind the attack.
