Blast Near Convoy of PPP MPA Ali Madad Jatak in Quetta; Six Injured

A powerful explosion occurred near the convoy of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of the Balochistan Assembly, Ali Madad Jatak, on Saryab Road, leaving six individuals injured, police said.

According to police officials, MPA Ali Madad Jatak remained unharmed in the blast, which targeted his convoy as it was en route to a victory celebration being held at the Hockey Ground in connection with Pakistan’s triumph over India.

The injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Security forces promptly cordoned off the area, and a search operation has been launched to trace the perpetrators.

The police further stated that a victory event had been organized at the Hockey Ground to celebrate Pakistan’s win against India, and Ali Madad Jatak was leading a rally to attend the gathering when the explosion took place.

In the wake of the blast, security at the Hockey Ground has been significantly tightened to ensure the safety of participants and dignitaries.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
