In another cowardly act of violence, terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan or Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) opened fire on a passenger coach near Kalat, leaving several civilians injured.

According to police sources, the coach was en route from Karachi to Quetta when it came under attack. Multiple passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to the District Hospital Kalat, where several are said to be in critical condition, raising fears of fatalities.

This brutal assault is being seen as part of a desperate pattern by the BLA, which, in the face of recent military setbacks and the loss of support from its foreign backers, has increasingly resorted to targeting innocent civilians, particularly from its own Baloch community.

Just hours ago, security forces launched a successful operation in Jhao, Awaran, eliminating several BLA-linked terrorists and dismantling key hideouts. The offensive, during which Major Rab Nawaz was martyred, reaffirmed the state’s resolve to root out terrorism from the region.

As the BLA continues to face operational failures and shrinking external support, its reliance on extortion and attacks on unarmed citizens reflects both its desperation and moral bankruptcy.
