In a brazen attack in Kech district, terrorists from the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) killed a man in front of his wife and abducted her in the Balcha area on Wednesday evening. Security and law enforcement agencies have launched immediate investigations into the incident.
According to sources, the woman, identified as Nargis, was approached outside her home by a Toyota Corolla, which stopped near her residence. She was forced into the vehicle, and it drove away. Her husband and nephew pursued the car and managed to intercept it near Naseerabad city.
At that point, an armed assailant emerged from the vehicle carrying a Kalashnikov rifle. Nargis’ husband attempted to resist and pleaded for his wife’s release. Additional assailants arrived on two motorcycles bearing BLA insignia, physically assaulted the husband, and forcibly took his and his nephew’s mobile phones. Subsequently, the militants drove Nargis toward the forested areas of Naseerabad, abducting her.
Law Enforcement Response
The incident was immediately reported to all relevant intelligence and law enforcement agencies. District police in Kech confirmed that a comprehensive investigation is underway, covering all leads and operational angles. Authorities stated that further details would be shared once verified and operationally appropriate.
Security officials describe the attack as a targeted operation by the BLA, reflecting the group’s ongoing strategy of using kidnapping and targeted killings to instill fear, disrupt local life, and challenge state authority.
Sources note that such operations demonstrate the persistent threat posed by banned terrorist organizations operating in remote and forested regions, highlighting the need for continued intelligence-led interventions and proactive law enforcement action.
