Pakistan’s security forces in Balochistan continue to make significant strides in countering militancy, demonstrating that sustained strategy, intelligence-driven operations, and disciplined action are transforming the security landscape across the province. Through a combination of vigilance, precision, and unwavering commitment, forces are turning the tide against insurgent networks and contributing to a safer and more stable environment for citizens.
Over the past three years, the operational impact of security forces has been increasingly evident: 2024: More than 2,000 militants were neutralized across the province, signaling an initial phase of pressure against organized insurgent elements. 2025: The number of active militants neutralized dropped to around 780, reflecting the cumulative effect of sustained operations, intelligence coordination, and strategic planning. 2026: Already this year, 282 militants have been neutralized, demonstrating continued operational momentum, resolve, and a methodical approach to counterterrorism.
The ongoing operations have combined frontline engagement with rear-guard vigilance, emphasizing both proactive measures and coordinated monitoring of potential threats. This multi-layered approach has disrupted insurgent networks, reduced militant capacity, and fostered conditions for reintegration and community stability.
Authorities note that the success of these operations is the result of not only tactical expertise but also inter-agency collaboration, community support, and a disciplined focus on minimizing civilian harm while neutralizing extremist elements.
The government reiterates its commitment to ensuring long-term peace and security in Balochistan, highlighting that sustained vigilance, intelligence-led action, and dedication of security personnel remain essential to maintaining operational gains.
