The Balochistan government has decided to intensify its crackdown on foreign-based leadership of proscribed organisations, approving a series of stringent and extraordinary measures aimed at dismantling terrorist networks operating against the state.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, where officials presented detailed intelligence on communication links between the overseas leadership of banned groups and their local facilitators, including call recordings and other corroborating evidence.
According to the official communiqué, the meeting reviewed the activities and external command structures of several proscribed outfits, after which it was decided to tighten the noose around the heads, commanders, and operatives of banned organisations operating from abroad. The brief stated that special focus would be placed on disrupting their remaining operational channels and severing their links within Pakistan.
The meeting also issued directives to expedite the prosecution of cases registered against the leadership of the BLA, BLF, UBA, BRG, and Lashkar-e-Balochistan, ensuring that all pending legal proceedings move forward without delay.
In addition, authorities were instructed to accelerate the process of issuing Interpol Red Notices through the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, enabling the pursuit of wanted individuals residing outside Pakistan.
The communiqué further stated that decisive action will be taken not only against the terrorists themselves but also against all local facilitators and support networks linked to the leadership of banned organisations. These operations will be carried out under the framework and guidelines of the Provincial Action Plan against terrorism.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s resolve to eliminate all forms of terrorism from the province, emphasizing that the state would not allow foreign-based networks or their domestic accomplices to destabilize Pakistan’s internal security.
More actions are expected to follow as law enforcement agencies intensify intelligence-led operations across the province.
