The Balochistan government has issued a warning that Akhtar Mengal will be arrested if he proceeds with his march towards Quetta. A government spokesperson confirmed that Mengal was informed of the arrest order under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance at 6 a.m. today.
In a tweet, Shahid Rind stated that Mengal refused to comply with the arrest. Rind also condemned the call to block national highways, describing it as an action that would cause significant public inconvenience. He reiterated that all district administrations have been given clear instructions to ensure that national highways remain open and operational.
