The Baloch community continues to face targeted violence orchestrated by foreign-backed militant networks, exposing the covert operations of Indian proxies in the region. In a press conference held in Turbat, the family of Shaheed Naveed Hashim of Belida publicly shared the tragic circumstances surrounding his abduction and murder, highlighting the human cost of these ongoing atrocities.
Speaking at the conference, Naveed Hashim’s mother recounted the harrowing ordeal: her son was abducted by militants for 26 days, subjected to relentless torture, and ultimately killed. His body was later discarded in Peerkain, a brutal act that underscores the inhumanity of the perpetrators. She implored the wider community not to allow such cruelty to break the hearts of mothers and families across the region.
Naveed’s sister spoke of the lasting impact on the next generation, stating, “These terrorists have orphaned three innocent children by taking away their father. Such acts reveal that these groups cannot be considered friends of the Baloch people.”
Community leaders and participants at the press conference strongly condemned the actions of these militants and reaffirmed their rejection of narratives propagated by foreign-backed actors. They called on national authorities, civil society, and international human rights organizations to take urgent action, hold the perpetrators accountable, and ensure justice for the victims.
The press conference also served as a platform to highlight the resilience of the Baloch people, who continue to raise their voices against oppression and violence despite persistent threats. Leaders emphasized the need for heightened protection of civilians, comprehensive investigations into abductions and killings, and coordinated security measures to prevent further atrocities.
This tragic incident underscores the ongoing challenges facing the Baloch community and the urgent need for the international community to recognize and respond to the persistent threats posed by foreign-backed militant proxies. The people of Balochistan remain steadfast in their pursuit of justice, human rights, and security, demanding that those responsible for targeting civilians be held accountable.
