D.G Khan Tribes Mobilise Against Khwarij Amid Rising Threat

Bajha, Khwarij, Tribes

Bajha, Dera Ghazi Khan: Tribal elders from Bajha, a border region between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have announced a firm stance against the growing threat posed by Khwarij.

In a high-level jirga, elders expressed grave concern over a surge in criminal activities, including extortion, abductions, and intimidation by Khwarij elements, which have caused widespread fear among locals.

To counter this, the community has decided to form two armed volunteer patrol groups of 50 men each—one for daytime, the other for night duty—to safeguard the area.

Elders affirmed that there would be no leniency towards the militants, and every resident would play an active role in defending their land. Bajha, given its strategic location, has recently seen increasing militant activity, making this local mobilisation particularly significant.
