Bajaur: Security Forces Neutralize Khawarij Threat in Loi Mamund, 4 Killed, 5 Injured

Pakistani security forces conducted a targeted counter-extremism operation in Loi Mamund, Bajaur District, successfully neutralizing a significant Khawarij threat and preventing potential attacks in the region.

According to official sources, intelligence and ground surveillance detected the movement of 10 to 12 armed Khawarij in the Guwati area of Loi Mamund. Acting promptly on the intelligence, security forces launched a precision operation to intercept and eliminate the threat.

The operation resulted in four Khawarij being killed and five others injured. The wounded were secured and are reportedly receiving medical attention. Authorities emphasized that the swift response of security personnel prevented potential attacks on civilians and key installations in the area.

Security forces have maintained that clearance operations are ongoing to ensure that all Khawarij elements in the region are neutralized and that no residual threat remains. The operation underscores Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to maintaining security and stability in Bajaur and the broader tribal districts.
