Lakki Marwat: Pakistan Army and police launched a major operation against Fitna al-Khawarij in sensitive areas of the district, including Paharkhel Paka, Sherikhel, Langarkhel Paka, and Ghaznikhel.
The joint action was personally led by Brigadier Commander Haider Ali of the Pakistan Army and District Police Officer (DPO) Nazir Khan (PSP). During the operation, forces carried out a comprehensive search and surveillance sweep, thoroughly inspecting all suspicious locations to ensure the complete elimination of Khawarij.
Brigadier Haider Ali and DPO Nazir Khan also met police officers and personnel in the field, encouraging them and awarding cash prizes in recognition of their dedication and bravery.
On the occasion, Brigadier Haider Ali reiterated that eliminating anti-state elements remains the top priority of Pakistan’s armed forces and police. DPO Nazir Khan added that Lakki Marwat police stand as the frontline force against terrorism, and alongside the Army, will make every sacrifice necessary to safeguard the people.
Later, Brigadier Haider Ali and DPO Nazir Khan visited Pezu, Shahbazkhel, and Ghaznikhel police stations, where they again appreciated the courage of officers involved in the operation, distributing rewards and rations among them. They emphasized that terrorists’ nefarious designs will never succeed, and security forces will pursue them everywhere until Lakki Marwat is completely cleansed of their presence.
The operation took place only hours after Khawarij bombed a girls’ school in the district, highlighting the urgency and necessity of intensified action against them.
