A high-level security meeting was held in the Araoli area of the Kurram District, chaired by the local Commanding Officer, focusing on the current security landscape and the ongoing disarmament campaign in the region.

The session, attended by senior members of the Sadda Peace Committee, delved into the presence of terrorist elements, their destabilising influence, and the need for coordinated strategies with law enforcement to ensure long-term peace and stability.

In a firm address, the Commanding Officer urged tribal elders to unequivocally condemn the Taliban and other militant groups, whether through open support, facilitation, or passive tolerance. He emphasised that community leadership must take a proactive role in promoting peace and rejecting extremism.

The elders responded positively, vowing full cooperation with security forces and committing to concrete steps for safeguarding the region. They reaffirmed their dedication to restoring and maintaining peace through local vigilance and support for state-led operations.

This meeting marks a significant move toward community-driven counter-terrorism efforts in a district historically affected by militancy, highlighting the army’s ongoing push to eliminate armed groups and build sustainable peace through local collaboration.
