Army Chief Praises Pakistani Media for Responsible, Patriotic Role Amid Tensions with India

Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has lauded the role of Pakistani media during the recent tensions with India, calling it “a source of national pride.” He appreciated the way the media responded to Indian propaganda, terming it “memorable and commendable.”

Speaking informally with journalists at a ceremony held in Islamabad to mark Youm-e-Tashakur (Day of Gratitude), General Asim Munir emphasized that the media acted with responsibility and transparency.

“The media is our pride. We didn’t hide anything—we revealed the whole truth,” said the Army Chief. He further added: “The role played by our media throughout the situation was outstanding. The response given to Indian media was not only timely but also unforgettable. It truly made us proud.”

General Munir also highlighted the unity displayed by the Pakistani nation: “The entire nation stood together and bravely faced the enemy.”
