Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has affirmed that Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain fully vigilant and prepared to safeguard the country’s geographical borders and internal security. The statement came during his visit to the Lahore Garrison, where he reviewed operational readiness, training, and the capabilities of formations under his command.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal observed special field training exercises incorporating advanced technology, emphasizing the importance of innovation and adaptation to meet the challenges of future battlefields. He highlighted that integrating modern techniques with operational experience is critical to maintaining Pakistan’s strategic edge.
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir also inspected sports and recreational facilities for troops, underscoring the vital role of physical fitness, morale, and holistic well-being in sustaining combat readiness.
The CDS further visited the CMH Lahore High-Care Centre, where he lauded the dedication and professionalism of the medical staff providing comprehensive and state-of-the-art care. He emphasized that supporting the health and readiness of personnel is integral to operational efficiency and mission success.
Field Marshal Munir reiterated Pakistan Armed Forces’ zero-tolerance policy against any threat to national security, affirming that the military upholds the highest standards of discipline, professionalism, and selfless service. He stressed that the Armed Forces are fully committed to defending the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internal stability.
“The Pakistan Armed Forces are prepared to meet any challenge, at any time,” said the CDS. “Our personnel are vigilant, highly trained, and equipped to safeguard the nation’s borders and ensure internal security.”
The visit began with a reception by the Corps Commander Lahore, who provided a detailed briefing on operational preparations and ongoing readiness initiatives. The CDS’s engagement reflects the military’s focus on continuous modernization, preparedness, and fostering a culture of excellence across all formations.
