A violent attack was carried out by armed assailants on a Levies checkpost in Qila Abdullah, Balochistan, resulting in the death of Levies Officer Saadullah. According to Levies sources, the incident occurred when the personnel attempted to prevent a theft in the area. The attackers used rocket launchers and other firearms during the assault on the checkpost.
The group responsible has been identified as the gang led by Sardar Faqir Muhammad. The assailants opened indiscriminate fire on the Levies personnel, causing chaos and casualties. In response to the attack, local tribes staged a protest by blocking the Quetta-Chaman highway. Angered protesters also set fire to a vehicle left behind by the fleeing assailants.
Authorities have condemned the attack and initiated an investigation, while security forces have been deployed to the area to restore order and prevent further incidents. The Levies department expressed deep grief over the loss of Officer Saadullah and vowed to continue operations against criminal elements in the region.
