Security forces have arrested another terror facilitator in Khyber district, hours after three facilitators linked to a banned terrorist organization were detained in Jamrud, underscoring a stepped-up crackdown on militant support networks across the district.

According to security sources, the latest arrest was made at the Bar Qamber Khel Takia registration point, where Zahid, a resident of Tirah Maidan moving with displaced families, was taken into custody on charges of facilitating terrorists. The suspect was shifted to security headquarters for further interrogation.

Officials said Zahid was allegedly involved in providing logistical and movement-related assistance to terrorists, a role viewed by security agencies as critical to sustaining militant activity. Routine verification and screening procedures were being carried out at the registration point at the time of his arrest.

The development comes on the same day that security forces, acting on intelligence, arrested three terror facilitators in Jamrud’s Chapri area, recovering arms, narcotics, and foreign currency during that operation. Security officials say both actions are part of a coordinated district-wide effort to dismantle facilitation, financing, and logistics networks that allow banned outfits to operate.

Authorities emphasized that terrorists increasingly rely on facilitators embedded among civilian populations, including during displacement and registration processes, making verification and intelligence-led checks essential.

Law enforcement agencies reiterated that action against facilitators will continue, warning that any individual aiding terrorists, directly or indirectly, will face strict legal consequences under Pakistan’s counterterrorism framework.
