Ambush in Kurram: 5 Soldiers Martyred, 4 Injured in Terrorist Attack

In a tragic incident in the Manato area of Kurram, terrorists affiliated with the outlawed group khawarij ambushed a convoy of Pakistan’s security forces. According to security sources, the troops responded bravely, engaging in a fierce gun battle. Unfortunately, five soldiers embraced martyrdom, and four others sustained injuries.

The martyred heroes have been identified as Lance Naik Umair, Lance Naik Safeer, Sepoy Ansar Mehmood, Sepoy Adeel Ali, and Sepoy Zakir Muhammad. The injured include Sepoy Farooq, Sepoy Bilal, Sepoy Zainullah, and Sepoy Shah Khalid.

Following the attack, the martyrs and injured personnel were airlifted from Manato Fort to Sadda CMH (Combined Military Hospital) via helicopter. A search operation was promptly launched in the area to track down the attackers, who fled the scene after the ambush.

Security officials reiterated that such cowardly attacks by terrorists will not weaken the nation’s resolve. “The sacrifices of our brave soldiers only strengthen our commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country,” stated the military spokesperson.

It’s worth mentioning that earlier, Today, khawarij suffered a severe blow at the hand of security forces of Pakistan where a total of 16 terrorists were killed in North and South Waziristan. In South,

leading from the front was Major Muhammad Moez Abbas Shah, who embraced shahadat while gallantly spearheading the assault. He stood firm in the face of grave danger, laying down his life in the highest tradition of honour, courage, and sacrifice.
