Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Interior Minister of Afghanistan, urged Pakistan’s religious scholars, political groups, and the public to work toward preventing further violence after recent airstrikes in Kabul.

Speaking at funeral ceremonies for victims of a strike on a drug rehabilitation hospital, Haqqani said the Islamic Emirate expects Pakistan’s Muslim population and independent voices to oppose actions that harm innocent civilians and strain relations between Islamic nations.

“We are not weak in war,” he asserted, “but harming Muslim communities for the interests of others is unacceptable.” He added that while the Afghan government maintains goodwill, it will carefully weigh the consequences of such actions.

Haqqani warned that any hostile acts against Afghanistan would be met with a response, emphasizing that the country reserves the right to act. He also expressed gratitude to those who offered condolences and support following the incident.

Regarding potential retaliation, Haqqani said Kabul’s response to Pakistan’s strikes would be carried out with full caution and strategic planning, signaling measured but firm action.
