“Field Marshal Sir, just give the signal, and then watch the spectacle. We are fully prepared.” This message, delivered by an Afghan citizen in a video from Afghanistan’s Paktika province, has gone viral on social media, sparking debate over its implications and the sentiment it reflects.
The footage, recorded in Barmal district, shows an Afghan citizen standing near what appears to be the main gate of the Mansoori Corps headquarters. Holding a handwritten note, the individual delivers a message expressing support for Pakistan.
The note visible in the video reads “I Love Pakistan,” with “I Love General Asim Munir” written beneath it.
In his message, the individual calls on Pakistan’s military leadership to act, claiming that people on the ground are prepared and awaiting direction.
Following the video’s circulation, social media platforms have seen a surge in reactions. Users have shared mixed views, with some interpreting the clip as an indication of growing frustration among Afghan citizens toward the Afghan Taliban regime, while others have questioned the context and authenticity of the footage.
Observers caution that such isolated expressions cannot be taken as definitive evidence of broader public opinion. However, incidents like this continue to draw attention, contributing to ongoing discussions about internal dissent and the evolving dynamics within Afghanistan.
The viral clip, regardless of interpretation, adds another dimension to the complex narrative surrounding public sentiment in Afghanistan, particularly amid increasing scrutiny over governance and security conditions.
