Armed fighters from the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) carried out two coordinated attacks against Taliban forces on Wednesday evening, July 16, in the northern provinces of Kunduz and Faryab, reportedly killing four Taliban fighters and injuring three others.

In Kunduz, AFF fighters struck a Taliban checkpoint near Kabul Port intersection in Police District 1 of the provincial capital. According to AFF claims, two Taliban members were killed and two others wounded in the assault.

Meanwhile, in Faryab’s Gurziwan district, AFF fighters staged an ambush targeting a Taliban Ranger vehicle in the Qotul-e-Tiqra area. The firefight, which lasted about 30 minutes, left two Taliban fighters dead and one injured. The AFF stated that its members sustained no casualties in either engagement.

The attacks are part of a growing pattern of guerrilla-style resistance operations launched by AFF across various provinces, particularly in northern Afghanistan, challenging Taliban control in key districts.

There has been no immediate response from Taliban officials regarding the incidents.
