The Afghanistan Military Salvation Front (AMSF) has officially declared the resumption of its operations against the Taliban regime, reaffirming its role as a key armed resistance force. Previously known as the United Military Salvation, the group had also fought against the Taliban’s first regime. It joins the Afghanistan Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front (NRF) as the third major resistance movement currently active.

In its statement, the AMSF condemned the Taliban’s policies as illegal and un-Islamic, warning it will target any individual or group that undermines Afghanistan’s national or public interests. Experts note that this renewed activism signals persistent opposition to Taliban rule and highlights the ongoing instability across Afghanistan.

The resurgence of the AMSF underlines that despite claims of Taliban consolidation, resistance inside Afghanistan continues to challenge the regime’s authority and poses broader security concerns.
