Pakistan Has Responded Decisively; Will Halt If India Does, Says Foreign and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has given a strong and calculated military response to Indian aggression and will stop further action only if India does the same.

Dar stated that diplomatic engagement is underway, and the United States and Saudi Arabia have urged both sides to de-escalate. “We have conveyed that Pakistan will halt its response if India also stops its hostilities,” he said.

Dar stressed that Pakistan exercised maximum restraint, but when the limits of patience were crossed, it responded appropriately. “If India does not react further, Pakistan will also stand down,” he affirmed.

Commending the armed forces, the Deputy Prime Minister said, “The nation’s armed forces have made us proud by responding with dignity and resolve. We believe in parity and peace—war is never a solution.”

Earlier, Dar revealed that India’s strikes on Noor Khan and Shorkot airbases were unacceptable acts of aggression. “We are carrying out operations strictly in self-defense. India is attempting to assert dominance in the region, which Pakistan will not allow. This operation will now be taken to its logical conclusion,” he asserted.

He likened India’s duplicity to “a dagger behind the back while chanting peace,” and vowed that Pakistan would ultimately prevail. “We are responding to violations of our sovereignty and borders. The nation has shown remarkable restraint, and our current actions are still minimal in scale. India is being made to pay the price for its provocations,” Dar said.

He added that from the very first day, Indian fighter jets were targeted. “Pakistan’s response will continue. We are fully prepared, and all options remain on the table in this conflict. We have already downed 80 Indian drones,” he declared.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar emphasized that Pakistan seeks peace but will not shy away from defending its sovereignty with full force.
