Afghanistan Urges Restraint as Tensions Escalate Between Pakistan and India

Amid rising hostilities between Pakistan and India, Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry has voiced deep concern over the growing tension, warning that further escalation is not in the interest of regional peace and stability.

In an official statement, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan emphasized the importance of diplomacy over conflict. “The Islamic Emirate considers security and stability to be in the interest of the entire region and calls on both sides to exercise restraint and resolve problems through diplomacy, dialogue, and mutual understanding,” the statement read.

Afghanistan’s call for calm comes at a critical time, as regional actors and international observers urge both nuclear-armed neighbors to de-escalate the situation and avoid a full-scale conflict. The Afghan government’s appeal highlights the shared responsibility of regional countries to preserve peace and protect civilian lives.
