In view of the prevailing security situation, the Baizai Police in Mohmand District conducted a successful search and strike operation, recovering 5 kilograms of explosives, four mortar shell fuses, two RPG-7 fuses, and a cache of shrapnel, thus averting a major potential act of sabotage.

The operation was carried out under the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Ikramullah Khan (PSP) and supervised by SDPO Ayaz Khan. It was led by SHO Hussain Khan, with the support of Additional SHO Ishaq Khan and other police personnel. The police conducted intensive search operations in the sensitive areas of Shekhan, Spinkay Tangay, and adjacent localities.

Several suspicious locations were meticulously searched during the operation, while special checkpoints were also set up at Sur Dagh Post, Bahai Chowk, and Muharrar Checkpost to ensure strict surveillance.

During the operation, multiple suspicious individuals and vehicles were thoroughly checked. Illegal black-tinted windows were removed from vehicles, and legal action was initiated against unlicensed vehicles, which were duly fined.

A major breakthrough occurred during the operation in the Tanray area, where the police recovered explosives hidden by unidentified miscreants, allegedly for use in subversive activities. The seized materials included 5 kilograms of explosive substance, four mortar shell fuses, two RPG-7 fuses, and metal shrapnel. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was immediately dispatched to the site, where the explosives were safely defused, preventing a potentially devastating incident.
