Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) has said that Pakistan is a peaceful country that desires regional stability, but if aggression is imposed, the armed forces are fully prepared to give a befitting response to any enemy.
The remarks were made during an in-camera session held with political leaders on national security, jointly addressed by the Federal Minister for Information and the DG ISPR. The session was convened in view of the prevailing security situation to deliberate on key national security matters.
A large number of senior political leaders from various parties attended the briefing. The DG ISPR informed the participants about the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The Federal Minister for Information briefed the political leadership on the government’s diplomatic efforts and the official position of the state on matters of national interest.
