Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar have intensified diplomatic outreach in response to rising tensions with India and the evolving regional situation, securing support from key international allies including Türkiye, Greece, and Sweden.
In a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the regional security landscape and India’s recent propaganda efforts. The Prime Minister stated that India is attempting to undermine Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism by leveling baseless accusations related to the Pahalgam incident.
He reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to allow transparent international investigations into the matter and welcomed Türkiye’s potential role in facilitating such a process.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held telephonic conversations with his counterparts from Greece and Sweden. During the discussions, he strongly condemned India’s unsubstantiated allegations and its suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, calling the actions a threat to regional peace.
Dar emphasized that Pakistan will make no compromises when it comes to its sovereignty and national interests. He underscored that India’s belligerence poses a serious challenge to stability in South Asia.
The foreign ministers of Greece and Sweden expressed their support for Pakistan’s position and appreciated its proposal for impartial international investigations into the recent accusations.
In a parallel effort to counter Indian disinformation, the Ministry of Information organized a media visit to the Line of Control (LoC), taking journalists to sites that India has falsely labeled as terrorist camps.
Information Minister stated that Pakistan stands for peace and categorically rejects the baseless terrorism allegations. He warned that any act of aggression by India would be met with a decisive response.
The government of Pakistan remains committed to exposing Indian propaganda on the global stage through diplomatic engagement, transparency, and proactive media outreach.
