Human rights activist and wife of incarcerated Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, has said that India is targeting Kashmiris under the guise of the so-called Pahalgam false flag operation, adding that the Kashmiri nation continues to pay a heavy price for its struggle.
Addressing a press conference, Mushaal Mullick said that not only Hindus, but Muslims and foreign nationals were also targeted in the recent Pahalgam incident. “My own family has suffered under Indian oppression. I am not even allowed to speak to my husband, Yasin Malik. Thousands of families are being forcibly separated,” she lamented.
Calling on the United Nations to take immediate notice of the situation, she said, “There have been many rounds of diplomacy, but no concrete results have emerged because India’s intentions are not sincere. However, this is an ideal opportunity for the international community to resolve the Kashmir issue once and for all.”
Mushaal Mullick underscored that every Kashmiri has a painful story. “Unarmed and innocent Kashmiris are being killed. Funeral processions have become a daily sight. Modi is waging aggression over our water resources — this water belongs to Kashmiris. Wars have no victors, only human losses,” she stated, adding that the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) is dire and deeply alarming.
Speaking to the media, she said, “We are proud of our armed forces. The Indian army has admitted its limitations and is not in favor of war. The positions taken by China and Bangladesh are commendable. Modi’s government has shot itself in the foot.”
