Top Terror Commander “Ibrahim Chacha” Captured Alive in Mohmand Raid

Ibrahim Chacha, Mohmand, Terror Commander

In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, security forces have captured Lal Amir, also known as Ibrahim Chacha, a senior commander of the outlawed extremist group known as the Khawarij, during an intelligence-based operation in the Shish Mahal Inzari area of Mohmand district.

Acting on credible intelligence, forces executed a silent and professionally coordinated raid in the mountainous region, effectively surrounding the terrorists. A brave officer led the operation, managing to take Lal Amir into custody alive after a brief exchange of fire, during which one soldier sustained injuries and was promptly evacuated for treatment.

A second suspect, identified as an Afghan national and a close aide to the commander, was also arrested.

According to initial investigations, Lal Amir has confessed to involvement in extortion, improvised explosive device (IED) attacks, and multiple violent operations against the state. A significant cache of weapons and explosives was recovered from the scene.

Following the arrests, a sanitization sweep was launched, resulting in the destruction of several terrorist hideouts.

Security sources highlighted that over the past 16 months, 168 Khawarij commanders have been neutralised, with many others apprehended, reflecting a string of successful counter-terror efforts across the region.
