CTD, Police Launch Joint Raids on Terrorist Hideouts in Dera Ismail Khan

Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and district police launched joint operations on Friday targeting terrorist hideouts in the Daraban and Kot Isa Khan areas of Dera Ismail Khan.

According to officials, intense exchange of fire took place between the police and terrorists during the raids. There were reports of terrorists being killed and injured in the encounter. The suspects, under heavy pressure from police fire, were reportedly forced to flee toward nearby forested areas.

In a related development, two facilitators of the terrorists were arrested during the operation and shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

It is pertinent to mention that the same group of terrorists had carried out a cowardly attack on police personnel in the Daraban area a day earlier.
