QUETTA: A blast rocked the Mari Camp area near Hazarganji in Quetta on Thursday, injuring a young child, according to police sources.
The explosion, caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by terrorists, left the minor wounded. Emergency responders rushed the child to a nearby hospital. However, there are no confirmed updates yet on whether the child is in critical condition or out of danger.
Following the incident, police and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. An investigation into the attack is now underway.
Security in the region remains on high alert as authorities work to determine those responsible for the act.
