Security forces have eliminated eight Khwarij in an intelligence-based operation in Tab Takhti Khel, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts against terrorist networks operating in the province.

According to security sources, the operation was launched after intelligence indicated the presence of Khwarij in the area. Security forces conducted aerial and ground surveillance to track the terrorists and their movement before moving against the targeted group.

During the operation, the Khwarij attempted to flee the area. Security forces continued to track and engage the fleeing terrorists, using quadcopters and heavy fire to prevent their escape, resulting in the elimination of eight Khwarij.

The operation reflects the intelligence-led and multi-layered approach being employed by security forces to deny terrorists the ability to establish hideouts, evade surveillance or escape after coming under pressure.

The latest action comes amid intensified counterterrorism operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces have continued targeting terrorist hideouts and pursuing fleeing Khwarij through coordinated ground surveillance and precision engagement. Recent operations in the province have also resulted in the elimination of several terrorist groups and commanders.

Security forces remain committed to dismantling terrorist networks and preventing them from using the terrain of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to plan or execute attacks.
