Pakistan on Tuesday successfully conducted the test launch of the extended version of the indigenously developed Fatah-4 Ground-Launched Cruise Missile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to ISPR, the weapon system is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigation aids, enabling it to engage targets at extended ranges with high precision and lethality.
The latest test also validated additional technical parameters of various subsystems incorporated into the extended version to improve accuracy and enhance the missile’s survivability.
The test launch was witnessed by senior officers of the Pakistan Army, along with scientists and engineers from the developing agency.
The successful test marks another step in Pakistan’s efforts to advance its indigenous precision-strike capabilities and strengthen the technical performance of its missile systems.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, and the services chiefs congratulated the teams involved in the successful launch.
They also appreciated the technical expertise, dedication and commitment of the scientists, engineers and personnel who contributed to the development and testing of the Fatah-4 extended version.
