The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Bolan following credible intelligence regarding the presence of members of Fitna al-Hindustan in the area.
According to initial information released by the CTD, security personnel launched the operation after receiving actionable intelligence. During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between CTD personnel and the members of Fitna al-Hindustan.
As a result of the encounter, three members of Fitna al-Hindustan were killed, while the remaining individuals fled the area amid the exchange of fire.
Following the engagement, security personnel immediately cordoned off the area and initiated a comprehensive search operation to locate those who fled and to ensure that no further threat remained in the vicinity.
The cordon and search operation remains underway, with security personnel conducting a detailed sweep of the area and pursuing leads regarding the whereabouts of the fleeing members of Fitna al-Hindustan. Heightened security measures have been maintained in and around the operational area as the search continues. The bodies of the three deceased members of Fitna al-Hindustan are being shifted under tight security to Teaching Hospital Sibi for the required medical and legal procedures.
