A high-level Kuwaiti defence delegation led by Kuwait’s Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met with Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Kuwait’s Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Saad Al-Sharayan, was also part of the delegation.
The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding institutional links and strengthening defence cooperation.
The Kuwaiti delegation appreciated the professional capabilities and operational expertise of Pakistan’s armed forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace and stability.
The meeting also highlighted the longstanding fraternal ties between Pakistan and Kuwait, with both sides expressing a desire to translate these historic relations into a stronger and more comprehensive defence partnership.
The two sides agreed that enhanced Pakistan-Kuwait defence cooperation would contribute significantly to regional security and stability. Greater institutional engagement, military-to-military contacts and cooperation in defence-related fields are expected to further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
