Pakistan’s security forces continued to intensify Operation Shabaan on Friday, eliminating four more terrorists during coordinated ground and fire support operations, as the ongoing offensive maintained relentless pressure on terrorist hideouts across Balochistan.
The joint operation, involving the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan and Balochistan Police, was launched following the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station and remains underway in multiple areas of the province.
According to sources, security forces targeted terrorists hiding in mountainous terrain using heavy weapons after identifying their positions during the ongoing operation. The precision strikes resulted in the elimination of four terrorists, while several others were reportedly injured.
With the latest success, the number of terrorists eliminated under Operation Shabaan has risen to 43, reflecting the sustained momentum of the operation as security forces continue to clear terrorist strongholds and deny militants freedom of movement.
Security sources said ground troops are continuing search and clearance operations in coordination with aerial surveillance to locate fleeing terrorists and dismantle their remaining hideouts. The operation is also focused on destroying logistical infrastructure and preventing terrorist groups from regrouping.
Officials described the latest action as part of a broader campaign aimed at eliminating terrorist networks responsible for attacks against security forces and civilians, adding that operations will continue until all identified threats are neutralized.
According to security sources, 79 terrorists have been eliminated since July 5 in Operation Shabaan and other intelligence-based operations conducted across Balochistan, underscoring the sustained pace of counterterrorism operations across the province.
Security officials reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to restoring lasting peace and stability, vowing that pressure on terrorist networks will continue unabated until every terrorist involved in acts of violence is brought to justice.
