Kalat Police on Wednesday rejected reports circulating on social media and WhatsApp claiming that the family complex or mess of Kalat Scouts had been targeted in a suicide attack, clarifying that no such incident occurred anywhere in the district.

According to Kalat Police, a fake news story was being circulated online alleging that a suicide attack had taken place at the Kalat Scouts families complex/mess, followed by heavy firing in the area.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kalat categorically denied the reports, stating that no attack had taken place anywhere in Kalat district and that no camp or facility of any law enforcement agency had been targeted.

Police urged citizens not to share unverified information and advised them to immediately delete such fake messages.

Authorities stressed that spreading false information during sensitive security situations can create unnecessary fear and confusion among the public.

Kalat Police reiterated that citizens should rely only on official sources for information regarding security-related incidents and avoid forwarding rumors circulating on social media platforms.
