Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Nasirabad district of Balochistan following credible intelligence regarding the presence and movement of terrorists in the area.
According to security officials, the operation was launched on the basis of actionable intelligence and resulted in a planned ambush-style engagement with suspected militants. During the ensuing exchange of fire, two terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan (Balochistan Liberation Army – BLA) were neutralized on the spot.
Officials confirmed that the operation was carried out with precision and in a coordinated manner, ensuring the effective targeting of hostile elements while minimizing risk to civilian populations in the surrounding areas.
Following the engagement, security personnel conducted a thorough search of the site. A significant cache of arms, explosives, communication devices, and other materials used in terrorist activities was recovered. Among the recovered items were a BLA flag, a motorcycle, and explosive materials believed to have been intended for future terrorist operations aimed at targeting security forces and civilian infrastructure.
Preliminary assessments indicate that the recovered explosives were part of a planned effort to carry out subversive activities in the region. Security agencies stated that the timely intervention prevented potential large-scale attacks and further deterioration of the security situation.
Authorities reiterated that terrorist groups operating under the banner of Fitna al-Hindustan continue to attempt destabilization efforts in Balochistan through targeted violence, sabotage, and the use of improvised explosive devices. However, security forces remain fully alert and committed to neutralizing such threats through sustained intelligence-based operations across the province.
Officials further emphasized that ongoing counter-terrorism efforts are part of a broader strategy to ensure lasting peace, stability, and development in Balochistan. Intelligence-based operations, they said, will continue with renewed intensity to dismantle terrorist networks and eliminate their operational capabilities.
Security forces reaffirmed their resolve to continue operations against all elements involved in terrorism, stating that any attempt to disrupt peace or target innocent civilians and state institutions will be met with a swift, decisive, and forceful response.
The situation in the area has been brought under control, and follow-up operations are underway to trace any remaining facilitators or network links associated with the neutralized terrorists.
