A series of coordinated attacks were reported across several districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, and Kharan, according to official and local sources. Security officials have stated that the attacks were effectively repulsed and the situation has been brought under control.
Initial reports indicate that armed assailants, operating on motorcycles, targeted a police checkpoint at Ghoni Talab an important point connecting the Nohsar and Kanak areas. During the assault, the attackers reportedly set fire to the checkpoint structure and a parked vehicle, and seized weapons from personnel stationed at the site before fleeing the area.
In a separate incident, a Frontier Corps checkpoint near Wali-Jet along Sariyab Road in Quetta also came under attack. Multiple explosions were reported in the vicinity around the same time, resulting in the death of a civilian passerby and injuries to at least five others. Emergency responders shifted the injured to nearby medical facilities, where they are receiving treatment.
Another attack was reported in the Marove area of Dasht tehsil in Mastung district, where a security checkpoint was targeted. Meanwhile, acts of sabotage were also carried out against railway infrastructure. Explosions reportedly damaged railway tracks at multiple locations, including Tera Mil, Dasht, Irrigation Colony on Sariyab Road, and parts of Nushki district, raising concerns over the safety and continuity of rail services in the region.
In Kharan district, local sources confirmed that a checkpoint in the Kalan area was also targeted in a similar manner. Additionally, an explosion in Sui town, located in Dera Bugti district, reportedly damaged a gas supply pipeline, potentially disrupting gas services in surrounding areas.
Official sources have confirmed that at least six personnel of the Frontier Corps and one police officer sustained injuries during the incidents. Authorities have described the injuries as minor and stated that all affected personnel are in stable condition.
Security forces have launched search and clearance operations in the affected areas to track down those responsible. Law enforcement agencies have increased patrols and heightened security measures across sensitive installations and key transit routes.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the province and have assured the public that all necessary steps are being taken to prevent further incidents.
